1. Base Fabric Weave & Density

  • Oxford cloth is typically woven in a plain or basket weave, with varying denier ratings (e.g., 210D, 600D, 1680D).

  • A higher weave density reduces air permeability, making the fabric more airtight and durable.

  • A looser weave allows for better airflow but reduces durability and waterproofing performance.

2. PVC Coating Thickness & Composition

  • Thicker PVC coatings (e.g., double or triple-layer) create a completely non-breathable surface, making the fabric ideal for waterproof applications but reducing ventilation.
